New Delhi .The name of the young player who is being talked about the most in Indian cricket these days is Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Vaibhav, who shocked the cricketing world with his explosive performance in IPL 2026 at the age of just 15, is now ready for a new test. While playing for India A in the triangular series held in Sri Lanka, he will have to prove that he can become not only a star in T20 cricket but also a reliable batsman of the team in the longer format.

India-A’s first match will be against Sri Lanka-A at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla. Cricket lovers will have a special eye on this match because for the first time Vaibhav Suryavanshi will take the field with such a big responsibility in the 50 over format. The way his bat had destroyed the bowlers in the IPL, the supporters of India A are also expecting the same performance.

For Vaibhav, this series is not only a platform to score runs but also an opportunity to prove his cricketing personality. In T20 cricket, batting aggressively and scoring runs quickly in limited balls is a different matter, but in the ODI format, patience, technique and adapting to the conditions is much more important. Sri Lankan pitches are generally considered to favor spin bowlers, with batsmen having to struggle for every run. In such a situation, there will be a real test of Vaibhav’s technical ability and mental strength.

The selectors also have their eyes fixed on this young batsman. If Vaibhav, who has made a place in the Indian T20 team for the Asian Games along with the tour of Ireland and England, is successful in this series also, then the doors of Indian cricket can open faster for him. A stellar performance could establish him as a future player in all three formats.

However, the responsibility of the team will not be solely on Vaibhav. Captain Tilak Verma will also have a challenge to prove his leadership abilities and batting skills. Experienced players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Prabhsimran Singh, Ayush Badoni and Anukul Roy will provide strength to the team. In the bowling department, Anshul Kamboj, Yash Thakur and Arshad Khan can prove to be a threat to the opposition batsmen.

Cricket experts believe that this triangular series can prove to be a big platform for many rising stars of Indian cricket. But the biggest discussion is about Vaibhav Suryavanshi. If his bat wreaks havoc like IPL on Sri Lankan soil, then Indian cricket may get another big star. Now all eyes are on the ground of Dambulla, where the young talent is going to write a new chapter of his career.
