Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Cockroach Janata Party (COJPA) founder Abhijit Deepke on Tuesday alleged that COJPA workers are being served police notices and are being pressurized not to participate in COJPA's proposed protest in New Delhi on October 10.

Taking aim at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government, Deepke also claimed that one country, one election is just a slogan and the intention is one country, one political party. The CJP founder addressed a press conference in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city.

CJP has proposed a demonstration at Jantar Mantar in the national capital on October 10 demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Deepke claimed that Chandrapur police issued notices to CJP workers asking them not to participate in the protest to be held at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on October 10 and questioned the source of funds for the travel expenses.

He alleged, I have said many times that Maharashtra Police is the best police in the country and Delhi Police should learn from it. But it is sad that Chandrapur police issued a notice to CJP workers asking them not to participate in the Jantar Mantar protest. Deepke questioned how the police could predict in advance that the protest would turn violent. He also raised questions on the police instructions asking CJP workers not to make such posts on social media that could allegedly incite violence. Opposition parties have launched a campaign over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of electoral lists and reports of differences within the three-member Election Commission.
