New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released its latest list of contracted players, confirming that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli remain in the elite A+ category. This announcement was made on Monday, showcasing a total of 34 players.
The A+ category, which offers an annual retainership of ₹7 crore, also includes prominent players like Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah, maintaining their positions from previous years.
Shreyas Iyer, celebrated for his performance in the Champions Trophy, has made a significant return, now placed in category B, which provides an annual salary of ₹3 crore. Iyer had been dropped last season for reportedly prioritizing the IPL over domestic cricket.
Ishan Kishan, who faced a similar fate, has also returned, now listed in category C with an annual remuneration of ₹1 crore.
