Washington, [United States], According to The Seattle Times, which cited the King County medical examiner’s office, three persons of Indian descent were discovered dead after a shooting at a home near Newcastle, Washington, in the United States.
Sheriff’s officers responded to a 911 call at around 7 p.m. on April 24 at a town house off 129th Place Southeast, according to King County Sheriff’s spokesman Brandyn Hull. The US media site said that authorities discovered a single hollow point bullet on the street and blood on the front glass.
Gunshot wounds claimed the lives of Dhruva Kikkeri (14) and Shwetha Panyam (41). According to the medical examiner’s office, Harshavardhana Kikkeri (44) died by suicide, while Panyam and Dhruva’s deaths were categorised as homicides.
According to The Seattle Times, Brandyn Hull said that she was unable to comment on whether the case was thought to be a murder-suicide. “An investigation like this takes time, and our detectives are working diligently to try and piece together what led to this incident,” she said in a statement on Monday.
“Until this work concludes, the Sheriff’s Office won’t have any further updates,” she said.
The Seattle Times said that a family of four—a husband, wife, and their two sons—lived in the house and tended to keep to themselves, according to Homeowner Association President Alex Gumina.
No further details, such as the deceased’s connection or any indication of purpose, were disclosed by the sheriff’s office.
