Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam has once again been engulfed in controversies. Recently, a video of a concert held in Bengaluru went viral, in which a fan demanded him to sing Kannada songs. On this, Sonu Nigam gave a befitting reply from the stage itself, but this reaction brought him into a new controversy. Along with facing trolling on social media, now an FIR has also been registered against them.

A case has been registered against the singer on the complaint of Karnataka Rakshan Vedike (KRV) at Avallly Police Station in Bangalore Rural District. At the same time, after this whole controversy, Sonu Nigam has openly spoke openly through a detailed note.

Sonu Nigam puts his point

Sonu Nigam wrote in his note- Hello, I have always given special love to this state, its language, culture, music and musicians in any corner of the world but in any corner of the world. I have given more respect to my Kannada songs than the songs of other languages including Hindi. It has hundreds of videos witnesses on social media.

'I will not tolerate insult'

Sonu Nigam further wrote- I am not a young boy who silently bear the insult to anyone. I am 51 years old, I am at the second stage of my life and I have the right that someone of my son's age threatened me in the name of language, then I should respond. That too when the show started and I sang the first song.

Singer told that I told him with great love and respect that the program is already planned so that all musicians and technicians can maintain coordination in it. But they continued to create a ruckus and started threatening me. Tell me, whose mistake is it?

'No hatred in the name of language'

Sonu Nigam said in its statement that I am a patriot and spread hatred in the name of language, caste or religion, I do not accept it at all, especially after the terrorist attack in Pahgam. I had to teach them a lesson and I taught them.

'I trust the people of Karnataka'

Singer said that I sang Kannada songs for more than an hour in the program, whose video is present on social media. I leave the sensible public of Karnataka to decide whose mistake was. I will accept your decision with full politely. I respect the law and the police and will follow their instructions. I will always save the love I got from Karnataka – whatever the decision.
