Mumbai: HDFC Bank has informed its customers about upcoming scheduled maintenance activities on May 9 and May 10, 2025. During these maintenance periods, several banking services will be temporarily unavailable. The bank is conducting these upgrades during early morning hours to reduce customer inconvenience.

May 9: Debit and Credit Card Downtime

- From 12:30 AM to 2:30 AM IST on May 9, HDFC Bank debit card users will not be able to make any transactions—online or offline.

- E-commerce transactions using HDFC debit and credit cards will also be affected between 12:30 AM and 2:00 AM.

- Additionally, credit card services such as transactions and statement access will be unavailable from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM IST.

May 10: Net Banking & Mobile App Downtime

- On May 10, a longer downtime is scheduled from 2:30 AM to 5:30 AM IST. During this time:

- Net banking and mobile banking apps will not work

- Customers won’t be able to check account balances or make transfers

- Services like UPI, IMPS, NEFT, and RTGS will be unavailable

- Merchant payments and instant account openings will also be disrupted

UPI Services to Be Upgraded on May 10

- HDFC Bank is also upgrading its UPI infrastructure on May 10, with services down from 2:30 AM to 6:30 AM IST.

During this 4-hour window, customers will not be able to:

- Use UPI for payments via the HDFC app

- Make UPI payments using third-party apps linked to HDFC accounts

- Make payments using RuPay Credit Cards via UPI

Loan and Demat Services to Be Affected

Further maintenance will affect loan-related transactions from 4:30 AM to 6:30 AM and demat services from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM IST on May 10.

Also, credit card services will again be affected between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM IST.

Customers are advised to complete important banking tasks before these scheduled downtimes to avoid any disruptions.
