Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Kriti Mayur Patel, playing with the black pieces, delivered a commanding performance to defeat Dhairya Yadav in the ongoing All India Chess Masters FIDE Rating Chess Championship at the Mumbai Chess Centre, Russian House, Pedder Road.

On other top boards, Chris Isaiah outplayed Janhavi Soneji in a well-contested match, while Darsh Shetty and Yash Kapadi registered convincing victories over Parv Hakani and Dhruv Patel, respectively.

Three of the top 10 board encounters ended in closely fought draws, highlighting the competitive spirit of the tournament.
