The Ahmedabad city government fined the well-known ice cream company Havmor Rs 50,000 after a lady complained that she had discovered a lizard’s tail in one of their cone ice creams.
After the lady posted a video of the finding on her social media account, the event became public knowledge.
In the Ahmedabad neighborhood of Maninagar, the mother purchased the cone ice cream for herself and her kids from one of Havmor’s flagship locations.
The lady said in the widely shared video that she had been feeling ill and had been throwing up a lot after eating the ice cream.
“We purchased four cones. This was discovered in one of the cones, indicating the tail of the lizard. I’ve been throwing up all the time. Fortunately, my kids didn’t consume it. We will bring legal action against the business if anything occurs. In the video, she said, “Please inspect the products before consuming them.”
Officials said that after eating the ice cream, the lady was taken to a local hospital. According to NDTV, she is still undergoing therapy.
