The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a serious shock in Delhi, when 13 corporation councilors of the party decided to resign from their post. These councilors have also announced the establishment of a new party. During the resignation, he accused the top leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party of failure in the operation of the Municipal Corporation and said that he was resigning from the primary membership of the party for not fulfilling the promises made to the public.

Announcement of new party

The councilors announced the new party, saying that their name will be Indraprastha Vikas Party and Mukesh Goyal has been elected as its president.

He said that all the corporation councilors were elected on the Aam Aadmi Party ticket in 2022, but the top leadership of the party failed to run the Delhi Municipal Corporation effectively. The party went into opposition due to lack of coordination among the councilors. Due to not fulfilling the promises made to the public, we are all resigning from the primary membership of the following councilor party.

We have established the Indraprastha Vikas Party on 17-5-2025 today, in which all corporation councilors unanimously accepted Mukesh Goyal ji as their leader. In a meeting chaired by Hemwand Goyal ji, 13 corporation councilors agreed to this decision.
