The Warrens are back for one final scary adventure. The Conjuring Universe is one of the most popular horror franchises in the world. It has many films, including three main Conjuring movies and several spin-offs like Annabelle and The Nun. Now, a fourth Conjuring movie is on the way, titled The Conjuring: Last Rites.
This film will be the final case for Ed and Lorraine Warren, played once again by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. It’s expected to be a big and emotional end to their story.
The Conjuring 4: Last Rites Release DateThe movie will be released in UK cinemas on Friday, 5th September 2025 – just in time for the spooky Halloween season!

What’s the Story?The story takes place in 1986, five years after
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. The Warrens are investigating one last case – the Smurl haunting.
This case is based on a real-life story. A couple from Pennsylvania, Jack and Janet Smurl, claimed that a demon haunted their family for 12 years. The film will follow the Warrens as they try to help the family and face a terrifying evil.
One of the demons in the film is said to have a personal grudge, making it even scarier.
Trailer and First LookThe first teaser trailer and a behind-the-scenes video were released in May 2025. The footage shows spooky scenes and gives fans a hint of what’s to come. James Wan, the creator of the series, called the movie “the end of an era.”
