For a 24-year-old nurse named Bailey McBreen, excessive burping was an early warning sign of stage three cancer.
Bailey's Experience with Excessive Burping
Residing in Florida, nurse Bailey McBreen reported that she typically experienced minimal burping. However, in October 2021, she began to notice an increase in burping frequency, which she initially dismissed. By 2022, she experienced heightened acid reflux, prompting concern from her doctors. Eventually, she recognized something was amiss, suffering from severe pain, loss of appetite, and difficulty with bowel movements. A CT scan revealed a tumor in her colon, confirming a diagnosis of colon cancer.
Excessive Burping as a Warning Sign
Sharing her story, Bailey emphasized that her increased burping was the first indication of her condition. She experienced this unusual symptom 5-10 times daily, a stark contrast to her previous normalcy. Although she found it strange, she did not dwell on it.
