Asha Bhosle death news Live Updates, April 12, 2026: Veteran singer Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday. The 902-year-old was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday, after suffering some pulmonary issues and a chest infection. The news of her death was confirmed by her son. She will be accorded a state funeral, said the Maharashtra government.

The news of her death led to a sea of tributes from her fans and even the who’s is who of Bollywood and film fraternity. She was known for her peppy songs and had sung for actresses across generations.
