Jenny Ryan was described as "gorgeous" and "stunning" ahead of appearing in another string of episodes of ITV game show The Chase. The 41-year-old, who is also known as The Vixen, announced: "Let a new week of Chasery commence!!!!!" as she gave the camera her fiercest pout.

The quizzer's look, featuring a sheer black top paired with black eyeliner and bright crimson lipstick, attracted plenty of attention, as one Twitter (X) fan joked: "You can chase me wherever you like!" Another jokingly used wordplay to ask the self-proclaimed Vixen: "Are you being chaste?"

Meanwhile, Jenny recently joined fans in their criticism of an episode which saw contestants playing it too safe. Jenny offered one contestant £106,000 in a game where a choice was issued: to take the higher offer and battle it out, or opt for a lower one to gain more distance from the Chaser.

On the show, screened just before Christmas with Bradley Walsh as host, it seemed no-one was willing to take the risk of getting too close to immensely knowledgeable Jenny, as contestants refused to take up the higher offer. She later revealed she was "disappointed" by the choice.

"I'm a little bit disappointed and this is a good team and I think at least one of them should have gone high," she exclaimed. Bradley Walsh then chimed in to remind the nation: "We've offered this team now nearly £22million!"

One fan exclaimed: "£106k once in a lifetime opportunity. Don't think these contestants lately want life changing money."

Another agreed, suggesting that too many people playing it safe impacted the quality of the viewing experience for fans.

"[The] reason people get so annoyed when these people refuse very generous big offers is because it ultimately just makes The Chase very repetitive and boring," the tweeter stated.

"As much as I'm happy for them, they could have won a hell of a lot more money if someone would have had the balls to go high," a third viewer wrote.

Meanwhile, a teary Jenny was recently seen on a celebrity edition of Escape To The Country, which saw her and partner Tom Tuck share their decision to move closer to the countryside.

She'd moved to London years ago to make her TV career dreams more accessible, but has since longed for a return to a more scenic location closer to her friends and family.

After setting her sights on a Bolton property, she was reduced to tears, exclaiming: "This feels like the beginning of a fairytale!"

She added: "This is about me moving to what I call closer to home. London is where I have a home, but my home and my heart are always back up north."

The Chase returns to ITV tomorrow at 5pm.
