Shaun Wallace said while he has never been married the barrister does have a partner.

The Chaser, who rarely discusses his private life, was grilled by none other than Kaye Adams and her co-star Karen MacKenzie on the How To Be 60 podcast where he briefly spoke about finding love as the trio discussed "regrets".

The 63-year-old is otherwise known as The Dark Destroyer on the popular ITV programme, The Chase, but he also works as a barrister.

Karen asked: "Is there room in there for a personal life?"

A hesitant Shaun replied: "Er... yes. Although I'm not married but I suppose I'm married to my career. Put it that way. I like that. I prefer that and I'm happier."

She then asked: "Do you have a partner?"

To which Shaun replied: "Yes, I'm in a relationship."

Host Kaye interjected and claimed she had warned the ITV star that her co-host was "blunt" as Karen admitted she had been "digging" around for some time to try and obtain information about his love life but had come up blank.

"I got absolutely nowhere and had hit brick wall," she explained. "I wanted to ask if you ever had children?"

He commented: "No, I have never had a child."

Shaun went on to explain he made the conscious decision to not have any children in his younger days but admitted it's not something he regrets.

"It was a conscious reason - when I was a young struggling barrister. I didn't think it would be right to bring up a child when you're trying to climb to the top of that greasy pole," he remarked.

Shaun went on: "And I've never regretted that decision. I've got 15 godchildren. Two of them are called Shaun and I'm the best godfather in the world.

"I probably would have been a great dad but I've got not regrets in relation to that."
