Kagney Linn Karter, adult film actress passed away at the age of 36. Karter's death was determined to be a suicide, resulting from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Cuyahoga County officials confirmed last week that the former adult film actress passed away on Thursday, with her cause of death officially recorded as an intra-oral shotgun wound, meaning that she placed a shotgun in her mouth and pulled the trigger.
Further information regarding her death has not been disclosed at this time, but the Parma Police Department is conducting an investigation.
Karter passed away in her home in Parma, Ohio on Thursday, according to TMZ. Karter's friends also confirmed the circumstances of her death in a fundraiser, complete with a sweet tribute to the star.
The funds so collected will go to Karter's mother, Tina, to help cover the cost of her memorial. Any additional funds will be donated to an animal rescue.
Her friends wrote: "Unfortunately, despite all of her many impressive accomplishments and talents, Kagney struggled with mental health issues as the years passed by."
Tributes poured in on social media as news of her passing spread on Monday, February 19.
Scores of saddened fans took to X, formerly Twitter to pay their respects and offer their condolences to Karter's grieving friends and family members.
Kagney had initially entered the adult film industry in the mid-2000s, where she garnered numerous AVN awards for her performances. Additionally, she also pursued modelling and danced at various exotic clubs over the years.
