Koichiro Ito, Producer Of Anime Films Your Name And Suzume, Arrested For Child Porn Suspicion. Report
Anime producer Koichiro Ito, known for his work in Your Name, has reportedly been arrested in Japan in regard to a child pornography case. The producer was said to have been in talks with the high school girls he befriended on social media, asking them to send him nude pictures.

According to the reports in Mainichi, Wakayama Police arrested Koichiro Ito on suspicions of creating child pornography. Koichiro Ito is the head of a Tokyo-based production company, and has worked as a producer on the hit film Your Name, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest anime films of all time. The 52-year-old producer is accused of engaging in conversation with a 15-year-old high school girl, whom he met online through social media, asking the girl to share her nude selfies with him in September 2021. Ito was allegedly aware of the girl’s age. The investigators are currently looking for more possible victims of the producer.
In his statement to the police, Ito was quoted saying, “I had a similar exchange with another person, so I can't remember if it was this girl or not.”
