In the concluding arguments, Adam Abbate took a stand for Fani Willis by calling the romantic relationship allegation a harassment tactic. The prosecutor was criticized for alleging that opposing counsel was unethical in making the allegations of a romantic relationship before the hiring of Nathan Wade.
While both Willis and Wade were present in the courtroom, Adam Abbate, who works as a prosecutor with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, spoke about how prosecutors should not be held liable or at least should not placed on the same pedestal as judges or juries, especially in matters related to the “appearance” of impropriety.
Emphasising that a public prosecutor is necessarily a partisan in the case, Abbate remarked, (If they were) “then there would never be a criminal prosecution because the state is always going to appear biased as it relates to getting justice for the victims.” Several users including case observers disagreed with the prosecutor, who stood up to defend Willis in the final hearing.

Willis is facing a trial after allegations of her relationship with a prosecutor in the case related to Donald Trump's alleged election interference surfaced. The prosecution wants the Fulton County District Attorney to be debarred from the case against the former President due to a previous romantic relationship with Nathan Wade.
