Delhi. Airtel launched a new prepaid recharge plan earlier this week that will allow subscribers to access Disney+ Hotstar for free in addition to voice and data benefits. This plan is priced at ₹398 and is valid for 28 days. The plan rivals similar plans from rival Reliance Jio, which had announced a New Year Welcome Offer for prepaid users. Here's how Airtel's new ₹398 plan compares to Jio's ₹448 prepaid recharge plan.

Airtel ₹398 plan vs Jio ₹448 plan

Under the new Airtel prepaid plan, users get 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days. However, the most attractive offer in the plan is the complimentary Disney+ Hotstar subscription.

Available only for the 'Mobile' tier, this subscription will be available for 28 days, which otherwise costs less than ₹50 for a month.

On the other hand, Jio offers the same voice and data benefits along with subscription to multiple OTT platforms under its ₹448 prepaid plan. Apart from 2GB daily data, unlimited voice benefits and 100 SMS per day, under the ₹448 plan, users will also get access to SonyLIV, ZEE5, JioCinema Premium, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, Sun NXT, Kanchha Lannka, Planet Marathi, Chaupal, Hoichoi, FanCode and JioTV. Get access. However, this plan does not give Disney+ Hotstar subscription access.

Both the telecom companies provide unlimited 5G internet to the users under their respective recharge plans.

However, 5G internet is available only in areas where Airtel and Jio 5G connectivity is available.

Airtel also has a prepaid plan of ₹409 that comes with 2.5GB daily data benefit and also gives complimentary access to Airtel Xstream Play Premium which includes 22 channels including SonyLIV, Lionsgate Play, Aha, Chaupal, Hoichoi, Sun NXT. Subscription to more than 100 OTT platforms is included. Prepaid users purchasing this plan are eligible to get unlimited 5G internet offer and talk-time worth ₹5 for 28 days validity.
