Whether you work in an office or in a business, people often get their hair cut or beard set on Sundays. But do you know that by doing this you are inviting trouble for yourself? Actually, there is a rule in the scriptures for everything from haircuts to shaving and cutting nails. But often, due to it being a holiday, people get time to do such work only on Sundays. However, according to the well-known religious leader and famous saint of Vrindavan, Premanand Maharaj, this method is actually not right. Cutting nails or cutting beard or hair on some days of the week has inauspicious effects on the planet. Whereas on the contrary, some days have been considered auspicious for these works. Let us tell you what Premanand Maharaj says about it.
Never do shaving on Tuesday or Saturday.
Premanand Maharaj has clarified in his discourse that 'shaving' i.e. cutting hair and beard should be done only on two days in a week. Premanand Maharaj says, 'If done on other days, it will cause a lot of harm. That is why people's intellect is corrupt these days. Nowadays people shave three times a day.' He further says, 'On Monday, a person who is a Shiv worshipper or wants his son's progress should not do shaving on this day. There is a possibility of untimely death if shaving is done on Tuesday. There is a possibility of untimely death if shaving is done on Tuesday and Saturday. That is why one should never get one's hair or beard cut on these two days.'
Wednesday and Friday are important days.
Premanand Maharaj says further, 'Shave and hair should be cut on Wednesday. This work should be done on Friday as well. These are the two days of the week on which shaving should be done, this brings profit, fame and progress.' Whereas everybody gets their hair cut on Sunday, getting a haircut on this day leads to a loss of wealth and wisdom. Premanand Maharaj says, 'Sunday is the day of Sun. Getting a haircut or shaving on this day leads to a loss of wealth, fame and reputation. Whereas Thursday is the day of Guru. Getting a haircut on this day leads to loss of Lakshmi and respect.'
Premanand Maharaj has clarified in his video that doing chore karma on Tuesday and Saturday reduces your lifespan. Cutting nails or hair on Tuesday can increase your anger. Along with this, it is believed that cutting nails or hair on Tuesday reduces lifespan.
