On January 7, Shubhada Shankar Kodare, 28, an accountant at WNS Global Services in Yerwada, was brutally beaten with a helicopter by her male coworker, Krishna. This was a startling instance of workplace violence. The murder’s motivation has been made public: Shubhada had borrowed Rs 4 lakh from Krishna, claiming that her father needed the money to treat his elevated blood sugar levels. Krishna, however, became skeptical and discovered there was no such operation or medical need when she went to see her father in Karad. Krishna approached Shubhada after feeling deceived, which resulted in a heated altercation. In his wrath, he severely wounded her arm, causing it to bleed profusely. She passed away from cardiac arrest and blood loss as a result of her low blood sugar.
On Tuesday night, Shubhada Shankar Kodare, 28, a resident of Balaji Nagar, Katraj, was discovered dead at the WNS Global Services parking lot in Yerwada. In relation to the crime, the accused, Krishna Satyanarayan Kanoja (28), a resident of Khairewadi, Shivaji Nagar, has been taken into custody. The Yerwada police have received a complaint from Shubhada’s sister, Sadhana Shankar Kodare (26), who lives at Jagdamba Building, Kalewadi Phata, Pimpri Chinchwad.
Originally from Karad, Shubhada and her sister Sadhana were both IT professionals who resided in separate districts of Pune. Although they worked in separate areas at WNS Global Services, Shubhada and Krishna had known one another since 2022. Shubhada had borrowed Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000 from Krishna, eventually accruing Rs 4 lakh, on the grounds that her father’s diabetes needed money to be treated. Shubhada persisted in requesting money from Krishna without paying him back, even though her own low blood sugar had caused her marriage to be postponed. Krishna accosted her in the corporate parking lot because he was suspicious of her and wanted to threaten her for the treachery.
Krishna severely damaged Shubhada’s hand’s veins by stabbing her arm four or five times during a furious quarrel. Shubhada died from a heart attack after suffering severe bleeding, even though he was sent to a private hospital. Following his arrest, Krishna Kanoja made a statement in which he acknowledged the crime. Shubhada went away from her injuries, thus neither she nor her family have yet to provide statements to the police.
