A major accident was averted during Hrithik's drowning scene in the film. Ameesha Patel told, “We were in New Zealand. We were shooting the scene which was from the first half. Where first Hrithik, who is Rohit's character, does not know how to swim and he drowns. We did not shoot this scene in India. Ameesha says, “It was very cold there. Hrithik had to go inside first with the oxygen tank and scuba divers. He had gone deep into the water. He went so deep without oxygen that he could have lost his life. There were many things during the shooting which were very dangerous and difficult. They looked fun and romantic, but shooting was very difficult. Later we used to think, Oh God, how did we survive?”
