Before the official release of the game, EA has announced a community-based testing initiative called the Battlefield Labs. This will help selected players test a variety of game elements such as combat, maps, and even the gameplay modes, and then provide feedback.

The first phase of Battlefield Labs is expected to start rolling out very soon, with early access being available to only a select few thousand players in North America and Europe. Gradually, the test scope will increase to include more than a hundred thousand testers from around the globe. While EA has intentionally kept a lot of information under wraps, leaks claim that the next instalment of the Battlefield series will be reintroducing elements absent in Battlefield 2042. Such as:

• The new instalment of the game may bring back focused 64-player matches, unlike the large-scale 128-player matches that were added with the release of Battlefield 2042.
• The game will most likely be in a modern-day setting which corresponds with EA’s efforts to bring back features that older fans loved.

Collaboration Between Various Studios

The new addition of the Battlefield series is being developed with the help of four major EA teams under the Battlefield Studios banner:

DICE – Focusing on developing the multiplayer component.

Criterion – Developing both single player and multiplayer modes.

Motive – Helping with numerous game elements.

Ripple Effect – Creating a new gameplay experience set in the Battlefield 2042 universe.
