When uric acid is increased in the body, a gap starts appearing between the bones. Apart from this, bone pain starts increasing and even walking becomes difficult because swelling and pain make your condition worse. In such a situation, you should avoid consuming all those things which can increase purine in the body and these protein-rich vegetables are included in the list of such things. So, let's know which are the vegetables which uric acid patients should avoid eating.

1. Mushrooms

Mushroom is a protein-rich vegetable that is considered almost like meat for vegetarians. In fact, no matter how you eat it, the body will digest it and release purine which can be harmful for people with high uric acid or gout problems.

2. Broccoli

Consuming broccoli can be harmful in many ways if you have high uric acid. Its protein can slow down the digestion of purines in the body and can increase pain and swelling. Therefore, if you have uric acid problems, avoid eating broccoli.

3. Spinach

Spinach can be harmful in case of high uric acid. Because it contains a lot of protein which can increase inflammation by increasing purine in gout problem. Apart from this, it can also cause pain. So, avoid spinach with high uric acid. 

4. Peas

People eat peas even out of season. Peas contain a good amount of protein which increases purines in the body. These purines accumulate in the bones and increase swelling and pain. Therefore, if you have a problem with uric acid, avoid eating peas.  

5. Brussels Sprouts

People use Brussels sprouts to make salad, soup and vegetables. It contains a good amount of protein. Therefore, you should avoid consuming this vegetable when uric acid levels increase. Even if you are eating these vegetables, eat them in control so that the problem of uric acid does not increase.
