Death In Paradise is set to unravel yet another perplexing murder mystery in its latest episode from season 14.

With DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) having bid farewell last year, the show welcomes Don Gilet, known for his role in EastEnders, as the new detective DI Mervin Wilson.

In this upcoming instalment, DI Wilson faces the daunting task of solving a murder that occurred during a game show filming-where a contestant meets their end "mid-air whilst hurtling down a zipline".

Season 14's second episode boasts a lineup of guest stars, including Adam James who steps into the shoes of Ricky Mayhew.

James is no stranger to the screen with credits in hit series such as Doctor Foster, The Day Of The Jackal, You, I May Destroy You, Vigil and Mr Bates Vs The Post Office.

He also made a brief appearance in the musical film Wicked last year as Galinda's father, fondly referred to as "popsicle".

Joining him is David Avery, taking on the character Dale Buckingham.

Avery's notable performances include roles in Hanna, Liaison, Bancroft, Gold Digger, and Sky's Gangs of London where he played Anthony.

Actor Simon Lennon, who will be playing contestant Jonny Feldon, is known for his roles as Marcus Ruskin in Grantchester, Lord Ambrose in Bridgerton, and Brains in the BBC's Our Girl.

One of his most notable roles was as Ben Tucker in Emmerdale, where he played the boyfriend of Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and met a tragic end at the hands of serial killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu).

Actress Bhavna Limbachia, known for her performances as Alia Khan in BBC's Citizen Khan and Rana Habeeb in ITV's Coronation Street, is set to portray Chaz Simons in an upcoming episode of Death In Paradise.

Lisa Bulmer will be brought to life by Sofia Oxenham, who has made a name for herself in several high-profile shows since her screen debut in 2019.

Her credits include Tess Tregidden in BBC's Poldark, Hannah in Soulmates, Princess Eugenie in A Very Royal Scandal, and Carrie in Disney+'s Extraordinary.

Completing this week's guest star lineup is Joy Richardson, playing Brianna Clemeston, who accused Mervin of being a murderer during the 2024 Christmas special.

Richardson has had roles in Mrs Wilson, Silent Witness, Small Axe, and McDonald and Dodds.
