Digital payments are on the rise in India, with UPI becoming the preferred method for both small and large transactions. While this shift towards cashless payments offers convenience, it can also lead to unintended financial imbalance if not managed carefully. To prevent this, the State Bank of India (SBI) has set a UPI transaction limit for its users. However, you can easily adjust this limit to suit your needs. Here's how you can do it.

SBI UPI Transaction Limit

To ensure secure and responsible usage of UPI, SBI has set a transaction limit of ₹1,00,000 per transaction. This limit applies to all UPI apps connected to your SBI account.

In addition to the transaction amount limit, SBI also allows a maximum of 10 UPI transactions per day. However, there is no limit on the number of transactions per month or year—you can perform as many UPI transactions as needed throughout the year.

How to Change Your UPI Limit

If you want to adjust your SBI UPI limit according to your requirements, the process is simple and can be done through the SBI YONO app or net banking. Here’s how:

  • Login to your SBI Net Banking account or YONO app.
  • Click on the ‘UPI Transfer’ option.
  • Select ‘Set UPI Transaction Limit’.
  • Enter your internet banking password.
  • You’ll be able to see the current UPI limit.
If the limit is set to ₹1,00,000, it cannot be increased, but you can reduce it.
  • Enter the new limit you wish to set.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ to confirm your changes.
  • After OTP verification, your new limit will be set.
  • This customization gives you control over your daily UPI spending, ensuring that you stay within your budget or adjust it for special transactions.

This feature offers more flexibility, allowing users to fine-tune their transaction limits as per their needs while ensuring security and ease of access.
