'Apprentice': Trump biopic to hit Lionsgate Play on October 24

The Hollywood film The Apprentice will premiere on Lionsgate Play on October 24, 2025.


It chronicles the early rise of a young Donald Trump during his early business years in 1970s New York City.


It explores Trump's desire to establish his identity apart from his father's real estate legacy and his entry into the ruthless world of business.


The movie stars Sebastian Stan as Trump.

Trump heavily came down on the film earlier, saying, "So sad that HUMAN SCUM, like the people involved in this hopefully unsuccessful enterprise, are allowed to say and do whatever they want to hurt a political movement."


Later, Stan spoke to Vanity Fair and said, "I would put money down he's [Trump] seen it 100 f***ing times, of course, because he's a narcissist. And I bet you there's certain things he likes about it... How he looked."
