Priyanka told that the Roka ceremony was organized at her home in Mumbai. Priyanka said that this ritual made us realize that we both were made for each other.

‘Mother wanted to make pre-wedding memories special‘

The actress told that her mother Madhu Chopra had made all the arrangements for the rituals. Priyanka told that mother wanted to make this occasion special. Therefore, mother herself was monitoring all the arrangements, she took charge of the program in her own hands. Mother wanted that there should be no shortcomings of any kind in my marriage.

‘I didn’t know it was going to be such an emotional moment’

Recalling her Roka ceremony, Priyanka Chopra said, ‘On the day of the Roka ceremony, I was on the upper floor. Mother was making all the arrangements. When I came down, the entire condition of the house had changed. The sofas were removed and there was arrangement for everyone to sit on the floor. Four pundits were sitting and reciting mantras and the havan kund was burning. The atmosphere at home had become completely religious, I had no idea that such an emotional moment was going to happen for me.

‘When Nick was holding hands, I felt something change’

Reminiscing about the ring ceremony, the actress said, ‘There was no special feeling at that time when Nick made me wear the engagement ring. But when we sat near the Havan Kund and Nick was holding my hand, I felt that something was changing. I am not joining a relationship, but a family.
