Rivals Series 2 has arrived with cast members hinting that it's "even better" than the first instalment.
Viewers were utterly captivated by the adaptation of the late author Jilly Cooper's Rutshire Chronicles series in 2024 and fortunately, it has returned for another run.
During the first series, audiences became engrossed in the vicious rivalry between former Olympian Rupert Campbell-Black (played by Alex Hassell) and media tycoon Lord Tony Baddingham (David Tennant).
Following considerable controversy, the 1980s comedy-drama makes its comeback, as does Baddingham, who is determined to exact his vengeance against Rupert and his ex-employee Declan O'Hara (Aidan Turner).
Yet what are his plans to destroy them and their competing television enterprise Venturer?
Rivals will be making its return to its UK platform Disney Plus for Series 2, where all 12 instalments of the latest run will be made available.
The most affordable subscription for the streaming service costs £5.99 monthly with advertisements, then £9.99 for the standard ad-free tier.
Additionally, there is the premium £14.99 monthly subscription option which offers ad-free streaming and "top-tier audio/visual quality and offline viewing capabilities".
Alongside Rivals, Disney Plus also hosts an expansive collection of other popular programmes including The Bear, Grey's Anatomy, Love Story and The Mandalorian, amongst others.
Currently, only the opening three episodes of Rivals Season 2 are available to stream on Disney Plus.
Following this, the subsequent three instalments will drop every Friday, meaning episode four arrives on Friday, May 22.
However, no official release date has yet been confirmed for the second half of Season 2, which will comprise a further six episodes.
The streaming platform has only disclosed that Rivals will return at some point later this year.
Offering a glimpse of what viewers can anticipate from the new series, actress Victoria Smurfit told Lorraine: "We shot 12 episodes, so it meant we could get deeper into the characters.
"We could get funnier, more outrageous, more heartfelt, more love - it's really juicy, and it's even better, if that's possible."
Rivals season two continues to air every Friday on Disney Plus.
