The strong storm and water that came in Masaurhi sub-division area on Friday completely disrupted life. With the sudden change in weather, strong winds and rain increased the problems of the people. The speed of the storm was so high that at many places trees broke and fell on the road, while at some places electric wires and poles were also damaged.

Due to the strong storm, thatched houses and hut-like houses have been damaged in many areas. The houses of many poor families in rural areas were destroyed, due to which people had to face a lot of difficulties. Traffic was also affected for some time due to falling of trees on the roadside.

Due to storm and water, power supply was completely disrupted in Masaurhi sub-division for about four to five hours. Due to power cut, people had to face a lot of trouble due to heat and humidity. There was darkness in many localities till late night. The electricity department team was busy repairing damaged wires and faults.

Local people said that due to the strong wind, electric wires had broken at many places and fallen on the road, due to which there was a possibility of an accident. However, it is a matter of relief that no major loss of life or property has been reported.

After the rain, a slight coolness was felt in the weather, but due to storm and power interruption, the daily routine of common people was affected. The team of administration and electricity department remained busy in normalizing the situation.
