Maharashtra Cabinet Decision | The state cabinet meeting was held today under the leadership of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. In this meeting, 4 bold decisions were taken by the government. These decisions have been taken under General Administration Department, Higher and Technical Education Department, Finance Department and Industries Department. The most special of these decisions is that new colleges in the state have been given final approval. Therefore, the education sector is going to change.

The decision of the Cabinet meeting is as follows –

1) General Administration Department

Reorganization of ministerial departments has been approved. A total of thirteen departments have been restructured under this decision. This will lead to separate divisions of two sub-divisions in the same division. Now there were 33 administrative divisions, their number will increase by 10 to 43. But no new post will be created, but division of work will be done in such a way that departments can now work easily. The decision making process is going to be accelerated. 2) Department of Higher and Technical Education

Final approval has been given to new colleges in the state. In this decision, it has been approved to amend the Maharashtra Public Act 2016 to recognize new faculties, courses and new subjects, batch in expansion.

3) Finance Department

It has been approved to amend the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act 2017 and accordingly amend the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2026 for consistency and consistency with the provisions of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Maharashtra Cabinet Decision

4) Industries Department

The authority to raise loans for the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation will be increased. Approval has been given to enact ordinances as well as to amend the Maharashtra Industrial Development Act, 1961.
