Vijay Deverakonda and his wife Rashmika Mandanna are taking a meaningful step towards supporting education by visiting Thummanpet village in Telangana. Before reaching the village, he provided this information by posting on social media platform X.

Vijay’s special message

Ahead of the event, Vijay shared the names of students selected for the scholarship scheme on X. Expressing his happiness, he wrote, “We are going to Thummanpet. This is the same small village where my dad was born. In February, @iamRashmika and I had announced the beginning of a small dream of ours. A dream to reward all the hardworking students of class 9th and 10th of Achampet mandal, Telangana. Here is the list of 180 children who have made their parents proud.” At this event, Vijay spoke to the students and their families and explained why this initiative is so close to his heart.

Actor Vijay also said that this initiative is his way of expressing his gratitude towards the people whose support plays an important role in his journey, while Rashmika calls it the beginning of something good. Rashmika also addressed the gathering and congratulated the students for their achievements. The actress expressed her happiness to be a part of this initiative and also highlighted its importance.
