Mohan Bhagwat said that the Sangh is often misunderstood. But RSS is the largest voluntary organization in the world. The purpose of which is not to form a group under any pressure or to exert its influence in every area of ​​public life. Rather the purpose of the Sangh is to organize the society.

The aim is to organize the society

Addressing a gathering at the centenary celebrations of RSS in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the main objective of the Sangh is to organize the society for the revival of the nation. The Sangh was not established to gain political power or popularity.

Speaking at the centenary celebrations of RSS, Mohan Bhagwat said that the Sangh was not started in opposition to any particular community. Nor to gain power or popularity. RSS was started to fulfill a larger national objective. The objective of RSS is to contribute to everything necessary for the welfare and revival of the country.

Established to connect people with each other

Bhagwat said that its founder KB Hedgewar observed that India repeatedly fell into slavery before foreign powers because of weaknesses and tendencies of division within the society. Therefore he wanted an organization in which people were united, organized and disciplined. Therefore, he established this organization to organize, strengthen the society and connect people with each other.

RSS is not against any religious community

Mohan Bhagwat said that RSS is not against any religious community. It does not mean Hindu vs Muslim or Christian. He said that it is based on the idea that the world is one family in which despite all the diversities, everyone can live together in harmony. He said the union basically does the same thing. He wants to prepare such people who are honest, selfless, disciplined and dedicated to the society.

More than 1.30 lakh volunteers are doing service work

Mohan Bhagwat said that more than 1.30 lakh volunteers are associated with the organization across the country and are engaged in service work. In almost every sector, volunteers are doing social service work through different organizations and initiatives. He said that our work is to build, organize and make the society aware.

RSS has no objection to voluntarily adopting another religion

Regarding the attacks on Christians, Bhagwat said that Christians have been safe in India for centuries. They are also a part of Indian society. He stressed that the Hindu community by nature takes everyone along. RSS never indulges in violence nor supports violence.

Regarding religious conversion, Bhagwat said that if a person voluntarily adopts another religion then RSS has no objection to it. But when the reason behind religious conversion is greed, coercion or insulting the religion and traditions of the other person, then it is wrong. He said that at such times people should not take law into their own hands. This should be resolved through legal means.
