France. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived here on Tuesday to attend the G7 summit and hold discussions with world leaders on important global issues. This is the 8th consecutive G7 summit to which India has been invited.


Prime Minister Modi said in a post on ‘X’, “Reached to Evian, France for the G7 summit. Look forward to speaking to world leaders and discussing important global issues.” He said India is ”committed to taking forward collective efforts for a more sustainable and prosperous planet.”




Modi reached Evian from Geneva. Modi was welcomed by Swiss President Guy Parmelin at Geneva airport. The two leaders warmly greeted each other and reiterated their commitment to further strengthen the India-Switzerland partnership. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi made a “historic and meaningful” visit to Slovakia.


He said, “The outcome of this visit will play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.” Our youth will greatly benefit from strengthened trade relations. Gratitude to the government and people of Slovakia for the warm welcome.
