Tezzbuzz Desk- Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced a nationwide peaceful protest march in New Delhi on 5 September 2026, accusing the central government of not fulfilling the promises made to the youth. This decision was taken in the meeting of the National Working Committee of the organization. CJP says that on July 25, the nationwide movement was withdrawn on the basis of assurances given to the youth by the government, but even after about a month, concrete action was not taken on them.
According to CJP, the proposed march will start from India Gate and go to the police headquarters in New Delhi. Students, youth organizations and young citizens from across the country will participate in it. The organization said the march will be led by members of families who have lost their children in NEET- cases. People affected by the alleged police action will also participate in it.
CJP claimed that many important promises were made to the youth by the government in the joint press conference held on July 25. Relying on these assurances the movement was withdrawn. The organization alleges that the government is now delaying the implementation of the commitments citing technical reasons.
CJP also questioned the stand of the Central Government regarding the FIRs registered across the country. According to the organization, on August 18, the Supreme Court had asked the Center to provide the list of FIRs registered across the country, so that the aspect of quashing these cases outright could be considered.
CJP claims that despite this, no clear commitment was shown in this direction from the government. The organization also said that the written government assurance given to it is still pending.
CJP officials said that the youth had withdrawn the movement trusting the government's assurances, but due to continuous delays, it has now become necessary to protest again democratically. The organization said that the government should not consider their patience as weakness and should not betray the trust of the youth.
CJP alleged that the government gave assurances to the youth to withdraw them from the movement and is now lagging behind in implementing the same promises.
The organization has appealed to students, youth organizations and youth across the country to reach India Gate on September 5 and join the peaceful march. CJP clarified that the protests will be conducted in a democratic and peaceful manner.
The organization has demanded the Central Government to fully implement all the assurances made to the youth on July 25. Now the proposed march of September 5 is being considered as the next big step in the increasing tension between the government and the youth regarding promises.
