Honda is now taking swift steps to establish its foothold in the electric two-wheeler segment. While the company's electric vehicles are buzzing in the Indian market, the names of Honda's two flagship e-scooters are coming up strongly— Honda UC3 and Honda QC3. While both these scooters are an important part of Honda's electric portfolio, there are major differences between the two in terms of design, battery technology and utility. 1. Design and look

• Honda UC3: This scooter is a wonderful blend of maxi-scooter and neo-retro design. Its front end is aggressive and maxi-scooter-like, while the rear and side panels give it a neo-retro look. It features three-piece LED DRLs that also act as indicators.

2. Battery pack and range

• Honda UC3: For the first time in this scooter, Honda has provided a fixed LFP battery with a capacity of 3.2 kWh, which can last for more than 1500 charging cycles. This scooter offers a maximum range of 122 kilometers in a single charge.


• Honda QC3: The scooter comes with a lithium-ion battery pack of around 3 kWh capacity. In terms of range, it is slightly ahead of the UC3, offering a range of up to 145 kilometers on a single charge.

3. Performance and motor

• Honda UC3: The electric motor fitted in it generates a maximum power of 8 bhp. Honda claims that this scooter offers the same powerful performance as a petrol scooter of around 160 cc. Its top speed is 80 km per hour.


• Honda QC3: This scooter has a 3 kWh motor and is primarily designed with city riding and quality family commuting in mind.

4. Features and Technology

• Honda UC3: This model is loaded with advanced features. It gets three ride modes, traction control, reverse assist, adaptive regeneration technology, smart key with keyless start and a 5-inch TFT console with Honda RoadSync connectivity. It has an underseat storage capacity of 26 liters.


• Honda QC3: It also gets a 5-inch TFT display, navigation and connectivity features. Notably, it offers a large underseat storage capacity of 32 litres, which is very beneficial for everyday stuff.

5. Indian market and potential price
