Giant Software Company Adobe has appointed him as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will take charge of the company from December 1 and will replace the current CEO Shantanu Narayan. With this appointment of Anil Chakraborty, the name of IIT BHU and Varanasi has once again come into discussion on the international technical forum.

Anil Chakraborty obtained B.Tech degree in Computer Science from IIT BHU in the year 1989. After completing his engineering studies, he went to America for higher education. There he earned MS and PhD degrees from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). After this he pursued his career in technology and business sector and held important responsibilities in many global companies.

Held many important positions in Adobe

Before reaching the top position at Adobe, Chakraborty held many important responsibilities in the company. He is currently the President of Adobe's Customer Experience Management business and Global Sales Operations.

He assumed his responsibility at the company as President of Adobe's Customer Experience Management business in January 2020. In September 2020, he was given the additional responsibility of leading Global Field Operations. In December 2021, he was promoted to President of Digital Experience and Global Field Operations.
