Gurgaon: Residents taking their grievances to Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) will not have to travel to offices in different locations anymore — the state govt agency has proposed a new building in Sector 16 which will bring all its offices under one roof.




In 2021, a plan to build a joint HSVP-DTCP office on a 2.5-acre plot near Gymkhana Club in Sector 29 had been approved. However, the recent announcement indicated that the plan had been dropped and the new, consolidated HSVP office would come up on a 1.5-acre land in Sector 16.




“The process of preparing a detailed project report (DPR) has begun and construction will be taken up soon,” said an HSVP official.




A tender for appointing a technical consultant to prepare the DPR was published on Sept 24, with an estimated value of Rs 20 lakh. Bids have been invited until Oct 5. After a consultant is appointed, the design, technical specifications, estimated construction cost and execution timeline will be worked out.




According to HSVP’s official directory, the administrator’s office is at HSVP Complex in Sector 14, while Estate Office-I is in HSVP Complex in Sector 15 and Estate Office-II is at City Centre in Sector 36. The directory also lists separate engineering and other wings under the Gurgaon zone operating from different locations.




The proposed Sector 16 building is intended to bring HSVP’s departmental functions together and provide space for its various operations, an official said.




While HSVP has not publicly disclosed the reason why the original plan was dropped, the change may be because of its broader plans for Sector 29. The authority has been working on redeveloping the sector, including plans to develop it as a business district. A six-acre site in the sector was also identified in 2025 for a proposed convention centre.
