Women’s Premier League franchises have begun finalising their squads for the 2027 season, with teams announcing their retained and released players ahead of the new campaign.

The squad changes have triggered considerable attention among the five franchises, including Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants.

The retention decisions will shape the teams’ preparations for the next WPL season, with released players expected to enter the player auction process.
