Farmers had gathered at Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial with lathis following a call by union president Gurnam Singh Charuni , who had asked them to press the govt on their grievances. They threatened to block GT Road if senior officials did not hold talks.
A meeting was held with principal secretary Amneet P Kumar , Kurukshetra DC Vishram Kumar Meena, SP Chandra Mohan and officials of the agriculture, food and civil supplies departments and Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board.
