The final results for the recruitment of constables in the Bihar Police Special Branch have been released. A total of 83 candidates have been selected, comprising 52 men and 31 women. Selected candidates are required to appear for document verification and appointment-related procedures between October 25 and November 20, 2026.

A 35% horizontal reservation was implemented for women who are permanent residents of Bihar during this recruitment drive. This reservation applied to both reserved and unreserved categories.

According to the available recruitment details, all posts designated for women under the reservation quota have been filled. Consequently, no vacancies under the women's reservation category have been carried forward to the next recruitment cycle.

What were the category-wise cut-off marks for the Bihar Police Special Branch recruitment?

Along with the final results, details regarding the marks obtained and the date of birth of the last selected candidate in each category have also been provided. The cut-off marks help indicate the score at which the final selection was made within a specific category.

Who was given priority in the event of a tie in marks?

If two or more candidates secured the same total marks at the cut-off level, the date of birth was used as the criterion for selection. In such instances, the older candidate was given preference. Thus, in certain cases, the date of birth—and not just the marks obtained—played a crucial role in determining the final selection.
