The upward trend in gold prices continues across the country. On the morning of October 10, the price of 24-carat gold in the capital, Delhi, stands at ₹1,50,870 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the rate is ₹1,50,720 per 10 grams. A day earlier, the price of 99.9% pure gold in Delhi's bullion market had risen by ₹1,900. Gold prices rallied as investor sentiment strengthened due to a decline in the dollar.



Domestic gold and silver prices are influenced by both local and global factors. In the international market, spot gold is trading at $4,194.36 per ounce. Over the past week, the global price of gold has strengthened by 1.3%.



Praveen Singh, Head of Commodities at Mirae Asset Sharekhan, believes that gold prices may remain within a limited range in the near future, with a possibility of slight gains. However, he cautioned that a sudden spike in oil prices could exert pressure on gold prices.

Silver Price



There is a decline in the price of silver, another precious metal. On the morning of October 10, silver is priced at ₹2,34,900 per kilogram. A day earlier, a rise of ₹4,500 was recorded in silver prices in Delhi's bullion market. In January of this year, the price of silver had reached a record high of ₹4 lakh per kilogram. In the international market, the price of spot silver stands at $60.77 per ounce.
