The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of seven high court judges, including four from Karnataka, in what it said was an effort to promote diversity and improve the administration of justice.

A statement issued by the Collegium, presided by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, said, "With a view to infuse inclusivity and diversity at the level of High Courts and to strengthen the quality of administration of justice, the Supreme Court Collegium in its meetings held on 15th April, 2025 and 19th April, 2025 has recommended transfer of the...Judges of Courts."

From Karnataka High Court, Justice Hemant Chandangoudar has been recommended to be moved to Madras High Court, Justice Krishnan Natarajan to Kerala, Justice Neranahalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda to Gujarat, and Justice Dixit Krishna Shripad to Orissa High Court.

Justice Perugu Sree Sudha has been recommended to be transferred from Telangana High Court to Karnataka, Justice Kasoju Surendhar alias K Surender - also from Telangana High Court - to Madras High Court, and Justice Kumbhajadala Manmadha Rao from Andhra Pradesh High Court to Karnataka.
