Hideo Kojima, famed for creating games like Metal Gear and Death Stranding, shared a photo on X (formerly Twitter) of himself video-calling with Rajamouli and Karthikeya. He captioned it, "With director S.S. Rajamouli and his son and producer, S.S. Karthikeya". Karthikeya then re-shared the post, adding "Beyond excited for this"
Fans immediately began speculating about the nature of the collaboration, with some suggesting a possible crossover between Rajamouli's films and Kojima's video games.

Kojima founded Kojima Productions within Konami in 2005 and became the vice president of Konami Digital Entertainment in 2011. Currently, director Michael Sarnoski is set to direct a live-action adaptation of Death Stranding.
About upcoming project ' SSMB29 '
On the work front, director SS Rajamouli is currently busy with his next big project, SSMB 29, starring superstar Mahesh Babu . The film is set to begin shooting in January 2025 and is expected to be a grand adventure thriller with a massive budget reportedly around Rs 1000 crore. Written by Vijayendra Prasad, the story is said to be a jungle-based epic with mythological undertones, inspired partly by Hollywood’s Indiana Jones.
'SSMB29' will feature an international ensemble cast, including Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The film is rumoured to be scheduled for release in 2027, with some reports suggesting a March 25 release date to coincide with the fifth anniversary of 'RRR'.
Music will be composed by Oscar-winner M.M. Keeravani.
