Kamala Harris' running mate Tim Walz on Tuesday took a brutal swipe at JD Vance over his infamous 'sex with a couch' story. The Minnesota Governor joked, "I can't wait to debate the guy... that is, if he's willing to get off the couch and show up." Now, social media users claim that Vance mentioned the couch incident of pages 179 to 180 of his memoir Hillbilly Elegy. They further add that these pages have been removed in new copies. However, there is no concrete base to such claims. The 'sex with a couch' story is rooted in a claim first shared by X user @rickrudescalves. The post has been deleted. "Can't say for sure but he might be the first vp pick to have admitted in a ny times bestseller to f****** an inside-out latex glove shoved between two couch cushions."Read More: Trump Says He Was Protective Of Hilary Clinton: 'Could Have Done Things To Her'The story was debunked by The Associated Press in a fact-check titled: 'No, JD Vance did not have sex with a couch'. The agency retracted the story. However, by then the claim was viral on social media. Rick, the X user who first posted the comment, told Business Insider that he made up the joke because he does not like Vance. "I have really enjoyed thinking about his team and all of the idiots associated with him having to grapple with this."However, social media users claim that the story was mentioned in the Trump VP pick's memoir. It was pulled from future editions because apparently someone finally told JD it was TMI," one person said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter. "I think the anecdote starts on page 179 in his book Hillbilly Elegy," another one added. Vance is yet to react to these claims.
