Director Advait Chandan brought the Hindi remake of a hit 2022 film ‘Love Today’ with ‘Loveyapa’ this 2025 Valentines' season. Released on Friday, the movie headlined by Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor , has collected ₹2.65 crore net in India in two days, according to Sacnilk.
The report on the website shows that the movie debuted at the box office with ₹1.15 crore net collection on Friday. Now as per the early estimates, there has been a growth, and the film has been able to mint ₹1.50 crore net collection in India on its second day, taking its total to ₹2.65 crore net. If we talk about the occupancy rate, then on Saturday, it was 6.09% occupancy for the morning shows, 14.09% in the afternoon, 0% in the evening, and 22.86% in the night.
Another interesting fact is that ‘Loveyapa’ is facing tough competition from Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Badass Ravikumar.’ It debuted with ₹2.75 crore net and its second day recorded around ₹2 crore, making the total around ₹4.75 crore.

The promotions of ‘Loveyapa’ were as aggressive as possible. Aamir Khan also stepped in to play a pivotal role in the same. During one of the promotional events, Aamir spoke about how the story is so relevant in today’s time; and also gave Kushi Kapoor the sweetest compliment ever.
Speaking with ANI he said, “I have watched the rough cut. I liked this film. It is very entertaining. The way our lives have turned out these days due to cellphones, and the interesting things that happen in our life due to this have been shown here. All the actors have done a good job. When I watched the film and saw Khushi (Kapoor), I felt that I was watching Sridevi. Her energy was there, I could see. I am a huge fan of Sridevi.”
Meanwhile, Junaid’s sister, Ira Khan, shared her review of the film on social media and mentioned - “Junnu on the big screen!! (Partying face and smiling face with hearts emojis) If you knew Junaid personally, you’d realize just how good of an actor he is playing this role! The whole cast has done a great job.”
